Miroslaw Skrzypkowski
Master of Fine Arts, Gniezno citizen, graduate of the Institute of Photography at ZAPF (Polish Artists-Photographers Union) in Warsaw and Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (Photography Faculty with Professor Stefan Wojnecki). Participant of numerous exhibitions of photography both in Poland and abroad. He took part, among others, in the prestigious Prague Photography Showroom in 1977 and in the International Biennale of Photography in Bucharest. The artist' works presented at photographic auctions reach decent prices and because of that part of them can be found in private collections. The artist does not refrain from charity actions and he puts a lot of his photographs up for charitable auctions. In his artistic output e has, among others, four albums about Gniezno of his authorship.
In 1999, upon an invitation by representatives of Polonia in Chicago, he participated in the promotion of his album "Gniezno - St. Adalbert's City" at the local Polish Bookshop.
The author is a frequent guest of television and radio programs and he gives many press interviews. For 21 years he has been a theatre photographer recording individual stage performances (about 100 premieres) taking archival, press and commercial photographs. Academic teacher at Adam Mickiewicz University and Institute of Social Skills in Poznań (lecturer of press photography). Member of the Polish Artists- Photographers Union (in the years 2002 - 2005 - president of Wielkopolska District). In the year 2004 the photo-Club of the Polish Republic honoured him with a medal "Polish Photography Person of Merit". He was also honoured with an art prize for the year 2004 by a chapter appointed by Wielkopolska Province Marschall, Stefan Mikołajczak.
